Evaluations

The latest assigned readings were out of our How to Write Anything Book on pages 102-118.  These pages focused on the evaluation of written work.  After reading this I picked up a couple of very helpful hints.  Evaluation involves not only offering opinions and advice, but also establishing criteria and evidence for this criteria that you are going to be making your opinions off of.  While writing evaluations I also learned that it is very important to stick to a topic and not digress from it so that you will not confuse or offend your reader.  Evaluations are only opinions so they are not suppose to be right or wrong, just helpful pieces of advice that can be used either to benefit from or just ignore. I really appreciate it when teachers take the time to evaluate my papers and write notes on them, they are trying to me help me further improve my skills and techniques.  Evaluations should not be taken offensively they should be take as constructive criticism.
